Dear Members,
We have some important updates to share regarding changes in our leadership.
On 21 January 2025, our most recent Treasurer, Melissa Bruckner, stepped down from the board. Melissa’s tireless work has been at the heart of most Feds For Freedom (F4F) initiatives over the past couple years. She was the primary reason our organization won a $100,000 grant from the Heritage foundation. She made sure our organization was in compliance with relevant charity requirements and carried the water when other board members found themselves needing a break. She was so very important to our organization’s success and we are deeply thankful for her faithful service. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
Our Vice President, Cameron Hamilton, has stepped down to take on a new challenge as the Interim Head of FEMA. What an exciting new chapter for Cameron! We are grateful for his contributions and wish him Godspeed in his new role. This isn’t the only F4F member taking on leadership roles in our Agencies and Departments, but we will save those announcements for later.
Kevin has stepped up to take over the role of Vice President of F4F. He served in the US Army for 21 years. That time was split across all three components; Active Duty, Army Reserves, and the California Army National Guard. After retirement from military service, he spent time pursuing career options while simultaneously growing the family real estate business. Kevin started federal service in 2016, becoming a Department of the Army Civilian. His work as a DAC has included installation physical security, the Sustainable Range Program Officer for southern Europe, and now he coordinates and manages the scheduling and use of Army training assets by all branches and components of the Department of Defense, ensuring their training and readiness goals are met.
Keith is our new Treasurer. He has a thirty year career in national security performing roles in program management, performance measurement, research analysis and military operations. He has worked for the National Guard Bureau, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and the Department of Energy. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard and has served in multiple leadership positions with Active Duty and Guard organizations. He has a Masters degree from Rutgers University.
We are sad to see Melissa and Cameron go, but we know they are moving on to new challenges and in some cases… a much needed break. We are also grateful for Keith and Kevin and their willingness to step into the gap and help us advance our mission!
